DEVOTION ~ GOD CAN'T BE BRIBED

Theme: God Can't be Bribed 
Text: Deuteronomy 10:17

17 For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe.


The world is full of corruption, unfortunately this menace has eaten into many. Many have been bribed to compromise their faith, ethics, values and integrity. This should not be the case for us as children of God. Our God, is the God above all gods and the Lord of lords. Everything is subject under Him and He takes no bribe. 

Having taken on the nature of God through faith in Christ Jesus, we need not to just manifest it spiritually but physically so as to transform the world into a godly one. Understanding that, God has influence yet does what is right, should motivate us to also use our influence to do the right thing. Discrimination or partiality will only make us do the worse. In whatever capacity we serve, let us do what is expected of us as beloved children of God. 

The nature of God has no element of bribing and corruption, so it must never be mentioned amongst His own. We have been admonished in the Acts of the Apostles not to think the Divine Nature is like gold, silver or stone, something shaped by art and the devising of man. For we live and move in Christ Jesus (Acts 17:28&29). Likewise has Apostle Peter encouraged us that; "Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,  as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." (2 Peter 1:2-4)


Prayer: Thank You God, for calling us Your offspring. By this, we know we have Your nature in us. May we be empowered by the Holy Spirit to manifest the Divine Nature in all we do to the glorification of Your. This we ask in Christ Jesus. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
