DEVOTION ~ INCORRUPTIBLE INHERITANCE

Theme: Incorruptible Inheritance 
Text: 1 Peter 1:3-5

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.


We owe it all to God, in relation to who we have become in Christ Jesus. His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. We are no longer of the world but of God. We are called to a royal priesthood and chosen as God's special people. 

The inheritance in Christ is incorruptible and undefiled. We are adorn with righteousness to take up the nature of God. As the Word of God does not fail, so our inheritance does not fade away, but is reserved in heaven for us where moth and rust causes no decay. By faith, our souls are kept for salvation ready to be revealed in the last day by the power of God.

Dear beloved in the Lord, how are you preserving your life for God? Have the things of the world corrupted your decisions in life? Let only the will of God rule in you. Be guided to fulfill the Father's purpose for your life so as not to miss His blessings.


Prayer: Glory be to Your name O God of my salvation. I surrender my life in Your presence seeking the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to live the incorruptible life in Christ Jesus. This I asked in Jesus' name. AMEN!

    Amen. Lord, through your Holy Spirit, let live incorruptible life for by faith my soul is kept for salvation ready to be revealed in the last day by the power of God Almighty.

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
