DEVOTION ~ PRAISE YIELDS THE INCREASE

Theme: Praise Yields the Increase 
Text: Psalm 67:5&6

5 Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. 6 Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us.


Praise is our expression of gratitude and respect towards God. In praising Him, we are demonstrating admiration of God's divine interventions in our lives. It can take the form of singing or appellation to God's glory. Once our praise is lifted, the glory of God fills our lives.

The presence of God in our lives brings about fruition. The psalmist says, let the people praise You, then the earth shall yield her increase. Praise rains down the blessings of God in every area of our lives. As our praise goes up, His blessings fall on us making us prosper in all we do. God will bless us and multiply us greatly if we can continually give Him the praise due Him. 


Prayer: Father, we are grateful for the things You've given us and even for those we still look up to. We honour Your Holy Name and declare You're God above all others. Your Kingdom has no end and Your mercies endure forever. You're never late in providing for us our needs and so we know You'll always do. Yes, the Lord will give what is good and our land will yield its increase even now and forevermore in Jesus' name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
