CHRIST OUR PEACE

Theme: Christ Our Peace
Text: Ephesians 2:14-18

14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17 And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

In today's devotion, we will be looking at one nature of Christ - peace. He is the Prince of Peace that has reconciled mankind to the Father. Sin brought separation between man and God; a wall of separation lies between man and God where man cannot have direct access to God. This wall of separation has been broken down when Christ's Blood touched the earth on Golgotha by tiring the temple's curtain from top to down. This act of Christ, abolished the enmity that has long existed.

As we studied in our previous devotion, we've been made anew and every form of distinction (Jews or Gentile; circumcised or uncircumcised) has been eliminated once we are in Christ. The message of Christ is peace but not as the world gives; it is the ministry of reconciliation of things on earth and in heaven. Whoever desire to enter into the heavenly place needs a door to be granted an access. The access is solely in Jesus who has become a divine door to us.

Jesus said, "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture." Hallelujah! The peace of God is calling out to us to enter through Him. If we accept this offer, we will be made one with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The peace of God takes us through the storm of life to make us victors in all that we do. Pursue the peace of Christ in all things. (John 10:9)

Prayer: Dear God, Thy name be praised for the reconciliation made in Christ Jesus. Teach our hearts and mind to look to this peace in joy, sorrow and where are faith is being tested. Let us say, it is well with our souls because we have the peace of God. May the peace of Your glory crush the adversary in our lives even now and forevermore in Jesus' name have we prayed. AMEN!
