DEVOTION ~ THE FRUIT OF THE MOUTH
Theme: The Fruit of the Mouth
Text: Proverbs 18:20&21
20 A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; From the produce of his lips he shall be filled. 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
In today's devotion, we will be looking at the fruit of the mouth. The mouth is meant to speak and to decree. What proceeds from the mouth is powerful, if it is for good or bad the result shall manifest accordingly. We therefore ought to use it wisely so as to enjoy its fruit. What you sow is what you reap so do not think you will sow evil with your mouth and reap good and vice versa.
A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth. Whatever word you speak about your destiny, family, ministry and other areas of your life will show forth as such. The satisfaction you will see in your life, depends on what you say in prayer and/or as you talk with your fellow humans. From the produce of your lips you shall be filled with either blessings or curses. What are you pronouncing over your own life, that of your husband/wife, children and those around you? The words you repeatedly utter will be what will be evident for others to see. Begin to declare good things over your life and that of those around you.
You need to start speaking positively because, the power of life and death lies in your mouth. The word of wisdom says, death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Dear beloved in the Lord, what you love, you shall eat of its fruit. So if you love negative things, you will always encounter them. Likewise if your desire is for good things, you will enjoy the fruit of pleasant things in your life. Redirect your attention unto pleasant and good things in life and always decree and declare their manifestations and establishment in your life by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer: My Father and God, I bless Your Holy name for the power of my mouth. I declare and decree my life shall continually be filled with unlimited favour, blessings and joy unspeakable. I shall not die but live to declare Your glory. I am a conqueror and overcomer because Jesus is my Banner. I can never be defeated in any area of my life even now and forevermore in Jesus' name have I prayed. AMEN!
