DEVOTION ~ A GRATEFUL HEART

Theme: A Grateful Heart 
Text: Psalm 106:1&2

106 Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. 2 Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? Who can declare all His praise?



We're not complete if our praise to the Lord isn't heard. We need to give Him praise at all times and in all circumstances whether pleasant or unpleasant. That's the attitude of the grateful. A grateful heart appreciates even the little offered him/her. Praise the Lord dear beloved in the Christ. For He has been good to us. Consider your state a year ago and this very moment. Indeed God has been good and His mercy endures forever. 

His mercy is what  is preserving us in this pandemic. The mighty have fallen, the rich and poor were not spared. But God has been with us and given us life. Can anyone ever utter the mighty works of God? No! His works are full of awe and we lack the words to express how great they are. We can therefore not declare all the praise of the Lord. 

However, we can always declare His faithfulness at all times to all people. Your testimonies can go far than you can imagine in this age of advanced technology. Share a testimony with your friends and family today about the faithfulness of God. My testimony is, I'm plus one today. Hurray! To God's glory.


Prayer: Faithful Father, I lack the words to sing of Your mercy and faithfulness. Thank You for all You've done, are doing and will be doing in my life in the seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years to come. Glory to Your name now and forevermore in Jesus' name have I prayed. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
