DEVOTION ~ SEEK SALVATION
Theme: Seek Salvation
Text: Psalm 106:4&5
4 Remember me, O Lord, with the favor You have toward Your people. Oh, visit me with Your salvation, 5 That I may see the benefit of Your chosen ones, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, that I may glory with Your inheritance.
It's another awesome day the Lord has granted unto us, we need to give Him thanks. In today's devotion, we will be looking at seeking salvation in the Lord. We often go before the Lord with requests in prayer. This should not be a routine of just asking for things that will satisfy the flesh but we ought to seek spiritual things as well. Seek first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness and all other things shall be added unto it.
The psalmist is pleading with the Lord to remember him with the favour God has towards His own. The favour God has towards us is the grace to be saved from damnation. For God loves us that He gave Jesus to die in our place that if we believe we will not perish but have everlasting life. There's a quest first for God's mercy then the desire to behold the blessings that comes with His mercy.
There are many blessings being a chosen of the Lord. However, keep in mind, many are called but few chosen. Yearn to be a part of the chosen so as to enjoy its benefit. You cannot enjoy the benefit if you're outside of the wall. Join godly Christian fellowships near you and glorify the Lord for the inheritance you're partaking in.
Prayer: Nearer to Thee my God is what my soul desire. Have mercy and turn towards me. Cleanse me with the saving Blood of Jesus. Fill me with the Holy Spirit to lead a spirit filled life and help me to rejoice always in You. This I pray through Christ my Lord. AMEN!
Amen. Lord, please guide me to seek your kingdom first and many other things to you will add unto it for me.
