DEVOTION ~ INEXCUSABLE JUDGEMENT
Theme: Inexcusable Judgement
Text: Romans 2:1-2
2 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. 2 But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth against those who practice such things.
Have you ever pronounced a harsh judgment on someone only to realize you're also guilty of that crime? How did you feel about the judgement you've pronounced? I guess you gave yourself justifiable reasons why in your case the sentence should not be harsh. But dear beloved in the Lord, no amount of excuse can justify your actions.
You condemn yourself by pronouncing judgment on another. Judge not for you shall also be judge by the measure you employ. The Right Judge is God as He judges in truth. God knows us too well that whatever He has to say concerning us is perfectly true of our nature. Conduct yourself well so that you do not incur the judgment and wrath of God.
Prayer: Father in heaven, let the spirit of love overflow in every sphere of my life that I may choose my word wisely. Help me to be far from judging others. This I pray in Christ Jesus' name. AMEN!
