DEVOTION ~ NO PARTIALITY

Theme: No Partiality 
Text: Romans 2:8-11

8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, 9 tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; 10 but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 11 For there is no partiality with God.



The cynical is partial in both services either to God or mankind; the cynical soul is self-seeking but that should not be the case of those that believe in the Lord. Every child of God desires righteousness and the well-being of others making him/her walk in the Truth of the Word of God. However, the self-seeking soul walks far away from the truth least he/she be exposed. 

The nature of God knows no partiality as His judgment are purely truthful. To those who walk in evil ways, He will condemned with; indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish. First to the Jew then the Greek - indicating that, there's penalty for doing evil irrespective of your status in the Lord. Likewise, you will receive His glory, honor, and peace for doing good works. It's not just about punishment, there are rewards as well. 



Prayer: Father in heaven, You are just in Your judgment at all times. Help me to walk in the path of righteousness laying aside all self-seeking lifestyles and evil ways. By the enablement of the Holy Spirit, I am walking in obedience all the days of my life in Jesus' name. AMEN!

    Indeed, God is just and that is one of His attributes, let's be fair to our fellow humans in every situations so as not to incur the wrath of God. May the grace encourage us to follow suit in Jesus name, Amen!!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
