DEVOTION ~ STRATEGY FOR BATTLE

Theme: Strategy for Battle
Text: Luke 14:31-33

31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. 33 So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

Life is a battle that needs to be strategically planned in order to win. There's no easy way to winning you must be ready to weigh the pros and cons of every battle before attempting to face it. Christ having talked about how one must budget for a building, went on further to talk about a king who prepares for battle.

Dear beloved in the Lord, our adversary the devil roars like a lion seeking whom to devour. The devil is always waging wars in our lives and so we must also strategically position ourselves to win. As the king decides on the number of men to go to battle with, we must also decide who fights for us. If we lay it all to God, and abide in all His purpose for us, then victory shall be ours.

Once we become disciples of Christ, we need to seek His will and ways above ours. If we stick to His plan we shall end the battle well but the otherwise will happen if we do not follow Him faithfully. Desire to partake of the peace of God than His wrath. His peace will calm every storm of your life. Strategize yourself in the Lord in all things.

Prayer: O Lord God, I come before Your presence seeking for the grace to strategically position myself to attain victory in Your name in every area of my life. I receive the power to descern the times and to act in faith at all times. This I ask in Christ Jesus' name. AMEN!
