DEVOTION ~ THERE'S ROOM
Theme: There's Room
Text: Luke 14:21-24
21 So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’ 22 And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’ 23 Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. 24 For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.’
In yesterday's devotion, we studied how excuses have made us neglect God's invitation in our lives. We are continuing the study today to look at the beauty and glory of the feast we have been called to attend. The servants returned to tell the master of the house the replies of his invited guests. Their replies though made the master angry, yet opened divine doors in the lives of others.
Dear beloved in the Lord, the mercies of God has granted us access into His Kingdom. Salvation was initially intended for Jewish descendants solely. However, even the gentile nations through faith in Christ Jesus have a place in the Kingdom of God. If you stain your garment (ignoring God's calling) by not doing the right thing, you will not be taste the glory of the Lord.
In the presence of God, there's no limitation that's why the servant stated there's still room for more people to be invited. You have been invited to invite another so don't be selfish. Go out and proclaim Christ to a soul, let that soul know, there's more room in God's Kingdom. There are many mansions in the Father's house that requires more souls to fill in.
Prayer: Dear God, my desire is to taste Your glory. Grant me divine hearing to hearkened to Your voice that I may do Your will. Come Holy Spirit and make Your home in my heart. This I asked in Jesus' name. AMEN!
