DEVOTION ~ EQUIPPED FOR EVERY GOOD WORK

Theme: Equipped for Every Good Work 
Text: Titus 3:1&2

3 Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, 2 to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men.



Good works are evident just like the bad ones. No one needs to brag about his/her works for they'll speak whether one is present or not. The admonishing of the Apostle Paul is, good works must be a daily practice. We are not to disrespect rulers and authorities rather serve in humility. Wisdom however, must be applied in taking orders from rulers and authorities; check if the action you will take pleases the Lord or not.

Be ready for goods works not bad ones. Avail yourself to do things that will bring honour to the name of God and as well promote the development of your community. A peaceful community does not come about by chance but by the conducts of the people who live in it. It starts with us to live peacefully with all not thinking evil of others or plotting evil against them. Be swift to hear but slow to talk and anger. Possess the fruit of gentleness in all you do. Be good to God, yourself and others in all things.


Prayer: Dear God, I thank You for being good to be at all times. Teach me to possess the zeal for good works in my life, family, church, community, nation and in whatever I do. I receive the fruit of the Spirit to live in obedience. This I asked for in Jesus' name. AMEN!

    Of course, a good name is better than riches. May He cause us to always associate ourselves to good work in Jesus name, Amen!!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
