DEVOTION ~ BE TACTICAL
Theme: Be Tactical
Text: John 7:10-13
10 But when His brothers had gone up, then He also went up to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. 11 Then the Jews sought Him at the feast, and said, “Where is He?” 12 And there was much complaining among the people concerning Him. Some said, “He is good”; others said, “No, on the contrary, He deceives the people.” 13 However, no one spoke openly of Him for fear of the Jews.
In yesterday's devotion, we learnt Jesus said, His time has not yet come and declined to the invitation by His brothers to go to Judea. In today's devotion we will have a look at the approach Jesus adopted in entering Judea. After His brothers have taken the lead to the feast, He followed unannounced. Christ is teaching us not to seek fame or make our intentions known to people openly. The more you talk, the more you expose yourself to the schemes of your adversaries. We need to be tactical in every area of our lives; both spiritual and physical.
You cannot please everyone in life; some will speak well of you whilst others will speak evil of you. But in all, be focused never let any of them distort your pursuit in life. Keep to your God given assignment and strive to attain the crown of victory in Christ Jesus. Maintaining a dignify life in Christ makes it difficult for your accusers to openly attack you. They can say all manner of things behind you but cannot dare to do same in your presence. For your deeds shall speak in your defense. Keep walking the talk of faith for you're destined for greatness.
Prayer: The God of divine strategy and all tactical experiences, take me by the hand and teach me. Let me know when to speak or be silence, to act or not to act and help me and all that is mine to live in Your strategic plans for our lives. This I ask for in name of Jesus Christ my Lord. AMEN!
Amen!
