DEVOTION ~ ORDINANCES OF JUSTICE

Theme: Ordinances of Justice
Text: Isaiah 58:1&2

58 “Cry aloud, spare not; Lift up your voice like a trumpet; Tell My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. 2 Yet they seek Me daily, and delight to know My ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and did not forsake the ordinance of their God. They ask of Me the ordinances of justice; They take delight in approaching God.

In the dispensation of the prophet Isaiah, the Word of God came to him to declare the sins of God's people without holding back any word. This is equally a wake-up call on us as the body of Christ to reevaluate our lives to see if it's in conformity to the will of God or not. An age where even evil is seen as human right, the Christian must be up and doing to ensure all things work well and standards in God's perspective operate more in the church, home and as long as it is possible in the community and nations.

It is good to approach the presence of God but not with deliberate sin hoping grace will speak to cover the sin committed. Hypocrisy has flooded the church where people even dare asked why they are being punished when they have served God faithfully. Dear beloved in the Lord, how well is your relationship with God? Should the Lord apply the ordinances of justice in your life, would you pass the test? Will you stand right before God? God loves us let us also return that love wholeheartedly.

Prayer: Gracious Father, I come before Your presence to acknowledge my sins and seek Your forgiveness. I pray your forgiveness for my willful sins/presumptuous sins and secret sins. Holy Spirit of God, take control over my heart and soul make it a place of Your dwelling even now and forevermore in Jesus' name. AMEN!
