DEVOTION ~ WHERE'S CHRIST GOING?
Theme: Where's Christ Going?
Text: John 7:35&36
35 Then the Jews said among themselves, “Where does He intend to go that we shall not find Him? Does He intend to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks? 36 What is this thing that He said, ‘You will seek Me and not find Me, and where I am you cannot come’?”
In yesterday's devotion, we looked at the theme, "Seek Christ" where we have been encouraged to draw nearer to the Lord. In today's devotion, we will be looking at where Christ said He was going. Christ's destination is not this earth but to return back to the Father and be united with Him in heaven. It is for this reason He said, "You will seek Me and not find Me, and where I am you cannot come".
The Jews thought He was departing to be with the Greeks but that is not what He was saying even though the message of salvation has been preached amongst the Greeks. Dear beloved in the Lord, you need not ask this question for in this dispensation, we know where Christ is. It is for you to strive to be where the Saviour of the world is. Salvation is a free gift of God to anyone who believes in Christ. If you're living in doubts and unbelieve, then it's time to have a change of mind and surrender to God completely. You can only be where Christ is if you believe.
Prayer: Dear Saviour Jesus, Your Word to us is, You're going to the Father to prepare a place for us. Guide us that we may be worthy to be with You and the Father when You return. This we ask in Your very name. AMEN!
Amen!
