DEVOTION ~ HEEDING TO JETHRO'S COUNSEL

Theme: Heeding to Jethro's Counsel
Text: Exodus 18:24-27

24 So Moses heeded the voice of his father-in-law and did all that he had said. 25 And Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people: rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. 26 So they judged the people at all times; the hard cases they brought to Moses, but they judged every small case themselves. 27 Then Moses let his father-in-law depart, and he went his way to his own land.

In yesterday's devotion, we looked at how Jethro gave counsel to Moses to relief himself and the people by appointing able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness, and putting them in charge of thousands, hundreds, fifties, and tens. Today's devotion will enlighten us on how Moses heeded to Jethro's counsel.

Despite Moses having constant encounter with God, he did not receive a direct instruction from the Lord on how to relief himself from the daily stress he goes through. God used Jethro to speak to him. Moses listened to him and amazingly, things turn out perfectly well just as Jethro has said. Dear beloved in the Lord, God can use anyone to bring about your turn around story. You need to heed godly counsel at all times. The Jethro's God will bring your way will not stay with you forever, so do well to tap more from them before they leave you. The power of God rest upon you and give you insight of His revelations in your life and all that concerns you.

Prayer: Glory and honour be to Your name Yaweh for opening the eyes of my understanding. I pray in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ, any evil manipulation that is at work in me preventing me from heeding to the Jethro's of my life, catch fire by the power of the Holy Spirit. I am losed and I receive grace to divinely see the Jethro's positioned in every sphere my life. AMEN!
