DEVOTION ~ THE KAIROS HOUR

Theme: The Kairos Hour
Text: John 2:1-4

On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.” Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.”

Often we receive invitations from friends and family members to join them either in their happy moments or even when sorrowful. Likewise do we also throw such invitations to them. An invitation was extended to the blessed virgin Mary, Jesus and his disciples to a wedding in Cana. This invitation was honored by them and they played a significant role at the feast.

The feast in Cana had a challenge of running out of wine. The blessed virgin Mary intervened by informing Jesus about the challenge. Dear beloved in the Lord, we ought to be concerned about other people's well-being and their dignity. It will be too embarrassing and stressful to inform the groom or the bride there is no wine. We need to step in for each other in any capacity we can to ensure we offer the needful help.

There's time and season for everything under the sun. We ought to know when the said time for our shift comes. It is only by the power of the Holy Spirit can we tell the kairos moments of our lives. Jesus knew just when to act, He does not need instructions from anyone. If only we can confidently go to Jesus, then we can tell Him our concerns and how His intervention matters. We may fail in our chronos but if faith abounds in us, we will make it without fail in the kairos.

Prayer: Thank You Almighty God for another great day. I invite You to every area of my life and ask that You intervene to bring about my healing, restoration, breakthroughs and testimonies. This I pray in Jesus' name. AMEN!
