DEVOTION ~ THE VEIL

Theme: The Veil
Text: 2 Corinthians 3:12-14

12 Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech— 13 unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. 14 But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ.

The passing glory in the dispensation of Moses could not be seen by the ordinary eyes of the Israelites, so a veil was used to separate the people from the glory. There was a hindrance to directly access the glory due to the veil. This also clouded their sense of reasoning, imagination and the boldness of speech though they are  addressed as God's own nation.

Dear beloved in the Lord, it is Jesus who has the power and authority to lift the veil. Anyone who comes to Jehovah but fails to accept the Sonship and leadership of Jesus Christ, suffers with the veil. The veil limits you and you do not have the courage to boldly declare your victories and breakthroughs in life. It also does not allow you to know who you are as a child of God; you lack the knowledge that you have the Father’s nature and you only need to speak the Word and it shall be established. What veil is in operation in your life; is it the veil of your health, family, spouse, children, education, finances, concepts and ideas to progress amongst others? There's a solution in Christ Jesus. Call on Him and He will do incredible things in your life.

Prayer: Pass me not O gentle Saviour, hear my cry and lift up every veil that is hindering the manifestation of my breakthroughs and testimonies. I declare they are all lifted by the power of the Holy Spirit; I am victorious, full of divine wisdom, strength, and incredible tidings are my portion in every sphere of my life. In Jesus' name have I prayed. AMEN!
