DEVOTION ~ INHERIT SALVATION
Theme: Inherit Salvation
Text: Hebrews 1:13&14
13 But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
In the past few days, we've been looking at Jesus Christ and His relevance in the life of the Christian believer. We've seen the blessings, power and authority God has given unto Jesus over all things. We were also able to distinguish Him from the angels. In today's devotion, the opening verse asked a question; But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? God hasn't in any point in time asked angels to sit but assigns them to keep watch over His Word. The angels are continually deployed to accomplish a given task. It is of Jesus Christ He has made that statement after ascending to heaven having conquered sin and death.
This implies, anyone who associates with Jesus can crush the enemy underfoot. The privilege we enjoy as children, the angels do not have same. The angels are sent forth to minister and to worship the Lord. Angelic assistance is given unto us to overturn the schemes of the wicked. By virtue of our inheritance in Christ Jesus (attaining salvation) we qualify to receive ministering spirits of the Living God to quench or silence the voice of deceit that operates in the sons of disobedience. Inheriting salvation brings victory in every sphere of our lives.
Prayer: Loving Father, to You alone our hallelujah is lifted up to. We have tasted of Your goodness and have enjoyed daily benefits from You. In the name of Jesus Christ, we crush sin and the wickedness of the wicked in our lives and invite divine ministering angels to minister to us in all that we do and in every sphere of our lives even now and forevermore. AMEN!
Amen!
