DEVOTION ~ YOUR YEARS WILL NOT FAIL

Theme: Your Years Will Not Fail 
Text: Hebrews 1:10&11

10 And: “ You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands. 11 They will perish, but You remain; And they will all grow old like a garment; 12 Like a cloak You will fold them up, and they will be changed. But You are the same, and Your years will not fail.”



We serve an awesome God who has never failed or disappointed and what He cannot do does not exist. He has been in the beginning and He created all things out of the void. Every thing in nature has been created by God and their days are known to Him solely. All things will grow old and persih yet God remains as He is. For it written, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forevermore. (Hebrews 13:8)

This earth and heaven shall one day pass away but the Word of God abides forever. In the Word salvation is attained, so we ought to dwell in the Word and let it refined us into the image of Christ. It is of this the prophet Isaiah wrote; Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath. For the heavens will vanish away like smoke, the earth will grow old like a garment, and those who dwell in it will die in like manner; But My(God's) salvation will be forever, and My (God's) righteousness will not be abolished. (Isaiah 51:6)

God has made a new covenant, He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away. In Christ is the new covenant which is opened to all who believe in Him. Our salvation is in the name of the Lord to obtain eternal life. In Christ our years will neither fail nor be wasted. It shall be fulfilled just as our Lord's. (Hebrews 8:18)


Prayer: Most ancient of days, who was, is and will be forever take Your glory and honor for the covenant in Christ Jesus. I surrender to You and accept Jesus as my personal Saviour. I pray my name be written in the Lamb's Book of Life that when the books are open and the Book of life is also opened, my name shall be found written in it. Thank You for an answered prayer in Christ Jesus name. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
