DEVOTION ~ GOD'S PRESENCE

Theme: God's Presence 
Text: Habakkuk 3:10&11

10 The mountains saw You and trembled; The overflowing of the water passed by. The deep uttered its voice, and lifted its hands on high. 11 The sun and moon stood still in their habitation; At the light of Your arrows they went, at the shining of Your glittering spear.



All we ever need in our pilgrimage on this earth is the presence of God. God is omniscient and omnipotent, by these virtues, He is able to do all things with ease. The mountains, seas, sun and moon are elements He has total control over. The mountains tremble when they saw Him; likewise will the burdens of our lives tremble at the presence of Christ in our lives.

It is written by the mention of the name Jesus, every knee must bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. There's power in the name of the Lord. The sea parted in the dispensation of Moses, during that of Joshua, the sun and moon stood still because God listened to the prayer of Joshua. We have an exceeding grace than our fathers of old. We have the Holy Spirit in us and faith also works in us so we can command the mountains to be moved and calm the sea. Whatever has risen against us in live as a mountain, scorching sun or moon, raging sea to destroy us, by the presence of God, all those elements will be made to favour us in the name of Jesus Christ.


Prayer: Abba! Father, to You do all elements in creation bow. I invite Your presence to go before and behind me in all that I do. I decree every element in creation shall favour be to Your glory. The sun shall not strike me by day nor the moon by night. The raging seas of my life be still in the name of Jesus Christ have I prayed. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
