DEVOTION ~ SPIRITUAL INTERCESSION

Theme: Spiritual Intercession 
Text: Romans 8:26&27

26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.



As human as we are, we have weaknesses in waiting patiently on the Lord. Usually, our hopes when deferred cause us to be unable to pray. This explains what's in Proverbs 13:12 - Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life. Likewise, we are unable to ask our needs rightly; we often put our request before God in the wrong way. It's a reason we don't get the right or swift response to the prayer. What then can we do to solve the challenge? We have no power of our own but to depend on Him who has been promised to be our Comforter, Adovocate, Counselor the divine Spirit of God. 

The Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf for He searches our heart and knows the right word to utter on our behalf. In His groanings, He breaks the yoke of limitations, hindrances and any other thing that will not allow our prayers to be answered. He sets the enemy in confusion because His Word cannot be fathomed. He speaks in spirit with the Father that His will be established in our lives. A prayer said without the Holy Spirit lacks validity and authentication. 



Prayer: Come O Spirit of the Living God and make my lips Yours. Give me utterances of prayer concerning my marriage children, family, career, ministry, education, finances, businesses, investments, health, projects, and all that is associated with me. In the name of Jesus Christ may God's will be done and established. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
