DEVOTION ~ I AM NOT ALONE

Theme: I Am Not Alone
Text: John 16:31-33

31 Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? 32 Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. 33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

This chapter ends with the above verses on what might seem being alone or rejected. Jesus foresaw how His arrest, trials and crucifixion would scatter the disciples (each will flee for his life) but for just that moment. During that moment, it looked as though Jesus was rejected or abandoned by His companions but in the spiritual the Father was with Him. God is always with us irrespective of where we find ourselves because He is Omnipresent. There's no better companion than our God.

Dear beloved in the Lord, it may seem in your present circumstance that you are alone but no, God's with you through the pain. Just as He was with Christ so is He with us. We need to daily confess His presence that His glory will prevail. As Christ has said, "In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world". The Saviour has overcome the world and its woes for our sake, let us not be discouraged but be motivated to trust God for better days ahead. Say it aloud "I AM NOT ALONE!"

Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus Christ, thank You for Your presence at all times. I decree I am not alone for I have my Saviour with me. Therefore what seems impossible is receiving possibility grace and the lines are falling in pleasant places for me on all sides. I have victory and I'm a victor because Christ has overcome the world and its woes. Glory be to God. AMEN!
