DEVOTION ~ TAKE OF MINE

Theme: Take of Mine
Text: John 16:14&15

14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.



The Holy Spirit is a part of the Triune God that has been given to us to guide us in the path of truth. His work is to keep the believer under the knowledge of God's will and purpose that God's glory will be manifested. This He does by testifying about the Messiah as the Son of God on whom all our sins have been laid. 

To know the Father or to behold Him, we need the Holy Spirit to make it easier and possible.  All things have been delivered to Christ by the Father out of love, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Dear beloved in the Lord, the Holy Spirit takes what is Christ and declares it to us: Christ's parables and teaching can best be explained if we rely on the Holy Spirit. He is also able to tell us what is the perfect will of God for our lives.



Prayer: Come Holy Spirit of the Living God and make Your home in me. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray You reveal God's mind and will concerning my life that I will be careful to walk His way all the days of my life. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
