DEVOTION ~ COEXISTING
Theme: COEXISTING
Text: 1 Corinthians 12:20-23
20 But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. 21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. 23 And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty
In yesterday's devotion we mentioned how excuses can create vaccum for the devil to manipulate in our families and the church. Today, we will look at the parts of the body in relation to coexisting. To coexist means to exist in harmony despite different ideologies or interests. Though we may all not have the same perspective to issues we need to coexist in order to promote the well-being of the family and advance the Kingdom of God.
Discrimination should not have its place among us. Let's collaborate in performing our duties than try to tell others they are less important. Take note those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary; the little child whom you think is not financially supportive, keeps the dishes and environment clean (so that none falls sick); without the erran brother/sister, who will deliver the message well without bringing about misunderstanding? Even the part of our body that are unpresentable (private parts), we ensure to cover well least we are embarrassed in an emergency. Likewise those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor.
Prayer: Father help me to coexist with the other parts of the Body of Christ at all times. I pray for wisdom to see the beauty in everyone's role than look out to dampen their spirit. This I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
Amen!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, harmony promotes progress and so, we must coexist in the Lord for His direction to take us far in Jesus name, Amen!!
