DEVOTION ~ DO YOU CARE?
Theme: Do You Care?
Text: Philippians 4:10&11
10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content
Extending helping hands to others is a quality of a matured Christian. It means such individual has learnt from Christ to care for the flock. Christ out of love, compassion and care for the multitude that learned under Him, fed them with just fives loaves of bread and two fishes. We need to support each others ministry both physically and spiritually whenever there is a chance.
When opportunities come and others come to our aid, we ought to be grateful. Be grateful even for the little help offered. The words of the Apostle Paul is to us all irrespective of our position in the church, community, at home and wherever we may find ourselves, to be content in all things as well as not wrongly accuse people for not being there for us. Their absence might be because they don't have the means or opportunity to help.
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for the Word. Give me a genuine heart to care for others when I have the opportunity. Spirit of the Living God, have Your own way in me in the name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
