DEVOTION ~ THE LARGE POT
Theme: The Large Pot
Text: 2 Kings 4:38
38 And Elisha returned to Gilgal, and there was a famine in the land. Now the sons of the prophets were sitting before him; and he said to his servant, “Put on the large pot, and boil stew for the sons of the prophets.”
There are moments of our lives that seems as though nothing good can come out from our situation. Faith is required to break the limitations. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. The prophet Elisha is welcomed to Gilgal with famine and hunger. The sons of the prophets were in expectation he will provide food for them.
In the absence of ingredients, he asked the large pot be put on fire and stew be boiled for the sons of the prophets. Oh mine! Who does that? It's only the man who is filled with faith in the Lord. Dear beloved in the Lord, irrespective of your challenge in life, always look up to God in expectation: Dream big trusting God for a better life. Always call for the large pot and let God be God.
Prayer: Father of wonders thank You for the amazing privilege You've given Your own. I lay my expectations before You let them be met according to Your perfect will in the name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
