DEVOTION ~ LEFT OVER

Theme: Left Over
Text: 2 Kings 4:43&44

43 But his servant said, “What? Shall I set this before one hundred men?” He said again, “Give it to the people, that they may eat; for thus says the Lord: ‘They shall eat and have some left over.’ ” 44 So he set it before them; and they ate and had some left over, according to the word of the Lord.



In yesterday's devotion, we saw how the man from Baal Shalisha brought his firstfruits to prophet Elisha and he instructed his servant to feed the multitude with the firstfruits. There were hundred hungry men to be served twenty loaves of barley bread, and newly ripened grain in the knapsack of the man from Baal Shalisha. The question will be how possible is this? That's exactly the point of the servant. 

However the man of God says, give it out and there will be left over. Dear beloved in the Lord, faith without works is dead. The servant shared the food as instructed and behold, there were left overs as was the word of the man of God. Learn to speak into your breakthroughs than lament over your challenges. You've not been able to have your left overs yet in your finances, businesses, career, talents, etc because, you've failed to act in faith. Yearn for the left over (abundance) and seek the Holy Spirit to help you out. 


Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus Christ, with You is the abundance of all things I need. I invite the Holy Spirit to help me to heed Your Word and swim in Your abundance even now and forevermore. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
