DEVOTION ~ THE LORD KNOWS YOU

Theme: The Lord Knows You 
Text: Jeremiah 1:4&5

4 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”


How awe it is for the Lord to know us even before we were formed in our mothers womb. Imagine how it feels like for others (the elderly) to tell us of how we used to behave growing up as children. It got you smiling huh! We have no clue we've ever behaved in such a manner because we were literally unconscious of our ways.

God's knowledge about us can only be known if we draw nearer to Him. Once we know what He has intend us to be, our lives blossom in all areas. By virtue of the Blood of Jesus, we've been sanctified (set apart) for the glorious grace in Him. Not only have we been set aside as Holy and royal priesthoods, the Lord's Spirit has come to rest in us to proclaim the Good News to the end of the earth. Dear beloved in the Lord, you're more precious than you can imagine.


Prayer: Thank You Most Everlasting God for graciously knowing me from the womb of my mother and for making divine provision for me. I invite Your Spirit to take total control of my life and lead me in the way that pleases You. I surrender to Your will and I declare I am Yours forever in the name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
