Theme: A Boiling Pot
Text: Jeremiah 1:13&14

13 And the word of the Lord came to me the second time, saying, “What do you see?” And I said, “I see a boiling pot, and it is facing away from the north.” 14 Then the Lord said to me: “Out of the north calamity shall break forth on all the inhabitants of the land.


God does not just reveal good tidings but also warns us ahead of time of disastrous moments if we continue to sin. The prophet Jeremiah received the Word of God the second time asking, "What do you see?" What he saw was a boiling pot facing away from the north. A boiling pot is symbolic to disaster or destruction.

Dear beloved in the Lord, God can also reveal a destruction to you in dreams, vision and trance. It will not always be revealed exactly as it will happen but figuratively so you need the Holy Spirit to aid you to understand what has been revealed. Seeing is not enough, understanding is required to pray and divinely escape the destruction.


Prayer: My God who makes a way of escape in moments of trouble, I give You the glory, honor and adoration. Father, You divinely reveal to redeem so stir up the gift of the Spirit in me to understand every vision, dream, trance or revelation. Guide me by the leading of the Holy Spirit to know what to do to avert the destruction revealed in the name of Jesus Christ have I asked. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
