Text: Psalm 103:3

3 Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases


In yesterday's devotion, we saw how grateful the psalmist is to the Lord and so lifted his voice and require that his soul and all that is within him praise the name of the Lord for all the benefits he enjoys from Him. Today, we will examine two of these benefits; forgiveness and healing. From this psalm, we can say there is an established relationship between sin and diseases. Some diseases could come as a result of sin and not necessarily on health grounds. The benefit we derive from serving God is, that He forgives our sins and heals our diseases.

God is generous to us and forgives our sins when we open up to Him about the sin. His mercy towards us is renewed each morning. When Christ came to the earth, he forgave sins to set people free from their infirmities. Amazingly His ministry on earth was evident with forgiveness and healing. To some Jesus said your sins are forgiven, while to others He healed them directly. Dear beloved in the Lord our sins are known to the Lord likewise our diseases. As we desire God's healing, let us also confess our sins to Him. 


Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for the grace of forgiveness and healing. I confess my willful, presumptous and secret sins to You. Have mercy on me and forgive me. Abba! Father, heal me of all my diseases and infirmities in the name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
