DEVOTION ~HIS WORD IN YOUR MOUTH

Theme: His Word in Your Mouth 
Text: Jeremiah 1:9&10

9 Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. 10 See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant.”


The Lord touched the mouth of Jeremiah to strengthen him for the task ahead. The power of the tongue cannot be underestimated. It is for that reason, we are admonished, life and death lies in the power of the tongue. God's Word automatically found its place in Jeremiah's tongue after the touch of God's Hand. The Word of God is powerful and mightier than any two edged sword.

By the Word of God you can do mighty and great things to God's glory. The Word is to equip the believer just as Jeremiah to root out and to pull down; to dispossessed whatever is not working right in your life and to truncate the works of demons in any area of your life. The Word also helps to destroy and to throw down evil arguments, divinations, and enchantment that have been sent forth to attack your life by the wicked. Furthermore, the Word of God is to be employ to build and to plant; to decree a good thing and for it to be established. By your confession of the Word of God you can build your home, career, business, health, ministry, and all other areas of your life.


Prayer: Thank You Father for the power of Your Word. Blessed be Your Name for putting Your Word on my lips. Teach me by the guidance of the Holy Spirit to employ Your Word effectively in all that I do that I may attain victory in the name of Jesus Christ have I asked. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
