DEVOTION ~ REDEEMED & CROWN
Theme: Redeemed & Crown
Text: Psalm 103:4
4 Who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies
In today's devotion, we will look at three other benefits we enjoy from the Lord. These benefits are redemption, lovingkindness and tender mercies. From the time of the fall of man, God has a plan of redeeming the fallen man. The psalmist puts it, the Lord redeems his life from destruction. Sin destructs us from the rightful path to walk but we can only be realigned to the right way if we return to the Lord in penitence. The evil one came except to steal, kill and destroy but Christ has come that we may have life in its fullness. That's the awesome work of God to redeem us from destruction.
It is written, for God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. There's always a relationship between God's redemption, His lovingkindness and mercies. He redeems us out of love and not just that but because of His tender mercies towards us, He will not permit us to be corrupted by the sins of the age. God is love, kind, merciful, and a Redeemer and has blessed us to enjoy these benefits free of charge. In normal lives, just as some items have tax exemption, we are exempted from paying for benefits we enjoy from the Lord.
Prayer: Thank You Lord for the grace of redemption, Your lovingkindness, and tender mercies. Help me by the enabling grace of the Holy Spirit, to confidently walk in the redemptive path, and be kindhearted and merciful towards others. This I pray in the name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
Amen
