CHARACTER STUDY ~ EVE

Eve is the name Adam gave to his wife. The name Eve means mother to all the living. She was the helpmate created by God for Adam and when she was presented unto Adam he made a profound statement that  “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman because she was taken out of Man.” 

Some Characteristics of Eve:
* She was made out of man. 
* She had no idea about the exact law of the forbidden fruit. The law was given to Adam before she was created. 
* She was deceived by the serpent when it realized she couldn't quote the law accurately.
* She was the first to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. And she was able to convince Adam to also eat it. 
* Adam accused her of misleading him and God was disappointed in her by exclaiming, “What is this you have done?” 
* She transferred her blame to the serpent for convincing her to eat the fruit. 
* She was cursed by God for disobedience; “I will greatly multiply your (Eve) pain in childbirth. In pain, you will bring forth children, Yet your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”
* Enmity was put between her seed and that of the serpent; He shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel.”
* She was the mother of Cain, Abel, Seth and other children.

Apollos means "one who destroys or a destroyer". He was a New Testament figure who steadily grew to become a servant of Jesus through ministry. He was a staunch Jew.  Some Characteristics of Apollos: √ Apollos was endowed with great knowledge and was very outspoken. In his line of ministry, he exhibited understanding of the old canon and delivered its message boldly.  √ Despite Apollos's eloquence and knowledge, he was only vexed in the baptism of John without the knowledge that the prophecy about the Messiah had already been fulfilled. John’s baptism was the baptism unto repentance: An act of confession and turning from sin which anticipated the coming of the Messiah. Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
