DEVOTION ~ ARISE!
5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” 6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
In yesterday's devotion, we learned that Saul encountered a divine Light that asked him why he was persecuting Him. Saul sought to know whom he was persecuting and so asked “Who are You, Lord?” Jesus answered him by revealing His identity. Dear beloved in the Lord, it's all vanity trying to antagonize the Kingdom of God. Jesus said He will build the church and not even the gate of hades can overcome it.
Saul understood this and desired to know what he must do. The Lord asked him to arise, enter the city and he will be told what to do. Dear beloved in the Lord, until you arise from where you have fallen, you cannot make progress. Arise from your slumber, procrastination, and unconcerned attitude towards the Kingdom works. Associate with the right people and you will know the path that leads to success.
PRAYER: Thank You, Lord, for the power of Your presence that encourages me to arise and move forward. Come Holy Spirit and connect me to the rightful associations that I may walk in truth and the light of God's will in the name of Jesus Christ have I prayed. AMEN!
