Text: Acts 9:17&18

17 And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized.


Today's devotion throws light on how Ananias carried out the Lord's instruction in the street called Straight. He commenced the process by laying on of hands. He did not go in his power or authority so was quick to acknowledge the Lord led him to Saul. In Christ, we are siblings it was for that reason Ananias addressed Saul as a brother. Ananias has been sent to Saul to fulfil two purposes; for Saul to receive his sight and to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Saul received his sight after something like scales fell off his eyes. Dear beloved in the Lord, the scale on your eyes could be laziness, procrastination, anger, greed, unforgiveness, fornication/adultery, or deceit, amongst other things. Until these scales fall off your eyes, you cannot be of use as a vessel for God's glory. Pray to the Lord today and ask every scale in your eyes be removed so that you might receive your sight. Saul received the Holy Spirit in the process of baptism. You have the Holy Spirit in you having been baptized in the name of the Lord. Avail yourself for the Holy Spirit to use you greatly in the advancement of the Kingdom of God.


PRAYER: Thank You Lord for the grace of enlightenment in the life of Saul. I lift my eyes to Your Holy Sanctuary pleading for every scale in operation in my eyes to be removed in the Name of Jesus Christ. Come Holy Spirit and have Your way in my life as I have received my sight. This I asked for in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
