DEVOTION ~ WHY ARE YOU PERSECUTING ME?

Theme: Why are You Persecuting Me?
Text: Acts 9:3&4

3 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. 4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”



Saul was granted his request and he set out to Damascus. On his way, he encountered the unexpected. There is always a divine transformation whenever the Light appears. In the beginning, the first Word of creation is, "Let there be Light". It is this divine Light Saul encountered. Jesus then asks him why he was persecuting Him. Are you also persecuting Jesus in any way? Do you antagonise the advancement of the Kingdom's work? If you're not gathering then you are scattering so watch your ways.


PRAYER: Dear God, I humbly come before You seeking You make known to me the ways I persecute the church unknowingly. Open the eyes of my understanding that I may help build the church to Your glory in the name of Jesus Christ have I prayed. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
