CHARACTER STUDY ~ ACHSAH
Achsah was the daughter of Caleb of the tribe of Judah. Caleb offered her for marriage to any man who conquers Kiriath-Sepher. The young man Othniel, the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother took to this challenge and was given Achsah's hand in marriage.
Some characteristics of Achsah;
* She accepted her father's offer to give her in marriage to any man that conquered Kiriath-Sepher without questioning him.
* She convinced her husband to ask for land from her father.
* She was wise and had an insight. She asked her father for springs of water. Her father honoured her request by giving her the Upper and Lower Springs.
* She can be said to be a supportive wife. From the time she was given to Othniel, she began to think about how to make her home a better place.
* There are no further details of her life after this remarkable display of wisdom.
