DEVOTION ~ FAITHFUL FRIENDS

Theme: Faithful Friends
Text: Luke 5:18&19

18 Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him. 19 And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus.

It's good to make friends but you ought to choose the right ones. A rightful friend is ever ready to go through the thin and thick of life with you and not just one that presents himself or herself when things are rosy. You get to know your true friends as you go through difficult moments and that is exactly what the text for consideration enlightened on.

The paralyzed man had friends that were ever ready to do whatever it takes to have their friend receive healing. They brought him to where Jesus was teaching but could not have access to Him. Friends that can guide you to succeed do not leave you halfway through the journey but keep close company to ensure you achieve your goal and even move to higher dimensions than you can imagine. This paralyzed man's friends did the remarkable thing of taking the man to the rooftop and letting him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus. They resisted and overcame every obstacle on the way to find healing for their friend. That's what faithful and true friends do. May the Lord through the workings of the Holy Spirit make you be a faithful friend and also locate the same in life.

PRAYER: Dear God, prepare me to be a true and dedicated friend to all my friends. Help me to do what's needful in their lives so that I may draw them closer to You. May Your Holy Spirit guide me to the rightful friends in my life's journey in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
