DEVOTION ~ THE ACCUSERS
Theme: The Accusers
Text: Luke 5:30
30 And their scribes and the Pharisees complained against His disciples, saying, “Why do You eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”
Levi's feast for Jesus in his house attracted well-wishers and accusers as well. The Scribes and Pharisees were there to point accusing fingers at the Lord for being a guest in the house of a tax collector. Do you also have the habit of condemning others because you feel you are in a better position than them? You are just in line with the Scribes and Pharisees, there's no difference between you all. No one is perfect so let's learn to appreciate the effort people put in when they come to the knowledge of Christ and want to walk in His will. If we claim to be true Christians then we must be ready to embrace new converts and instruct them in the Lord than condemn them.
PRAYER: Dear God, give me the right attitude towards others. Help me to refrain from accusing and condemning others when they strive to draw closer to You. This I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
