DEVOTION ~ GLORIFY GOD

Theme: Glorify God
Text: Luke 5:25&26

25 Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God. 26 And they were all amazed, and they glorified God and were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today!”

Today's text ends the scene with the paralyzed man let down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus by his friends. Jesus forgave his sins and said to him, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” Immediately he rose and took up what he had been lying on. When grace intervenes, we conquer the challenges of life. Our response is to glorify God and that's exactly what he did. We ought to glorify God for others as well when God puts a new song in their mouths. Our God is a wonder-working God. His deed is often seen as strange by those who have not come into fellowship with Him. Our constant glorification of His Name will draw others into fellowship with Him.

PRAYER: Thank You, Lord, for Your mercy renewed each day in my life. Touch my lips to tell the world about Your awesome deeds and to glorify You in all things in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
