CHARACTER STUDY ~ ZIMRI
Zimri was the king of Israel but reigned for only seven days. He conspired and killed the then king Elah to ascend the throne. However, he set the palace ablaze and died in the flame when Omri who was chosen by the people to lead Israel, led all of the Israelites who were with him to Tirzah and laid siege to Israel’s capital.
* Zimri used unjust means to attain the status of King. Killing a superior or colleague to attain a position will not give you a long reign. You will not escape the punishment.
* Zimri was known as a traitor. Evil deeds leave an ugly identity but good deeds attract a beautiful identity.
* Zimri also killed the entire royal family so none contest the position. Murder is displeasing in God's eyes do not commit it.
