DEVOTION ~ FOURTEEN GENERATION

Theme: Fourteen Generations 
Text: Matthew 1:17

17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the captivity in Babylon, until the Christ are fourteen generations.



God is an orderly God. He does things orderly and never deviates from anything. The three genealogies we've studied have a space of fourteen generations. From the time of promise (Abraham) to when it began to manifest (David made king) and to the Messiah have intervals of fourteen generations. The wicked got punished whole the faithful were rewarded. These generations have both weaknesses and strengths yet in all they trusted the Sovereignty of God. 


PRAYER: Dear God, visit my family lineage and directs our thoughts, desires and will to conform to Yours. Help us to avail ourselves for Your orderliness to prevail in all that we do in the Name of Jesus Christ have we asked with thanksgiving. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

COMMAND YOUR WEEK

What inhibits you determines what comes out of you. The two elements are light and darkness. The light within produces good, whereas darkness is evil. It is recorded in  Ephesians 5:8-9 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good, right, and true.  Declare, "In the Name of Jesus Christ, I no longer walk in darkness but rather in light. Therefore, every product of darkness within and around me is extinct. I decree that my family and I live in light, and we enjoy what the light produces in fullness. Our deeds are good, right, and true. AMEN!"
