DEVOTION ~ SEEN AND TESTIFIED
Theme: Seen and Testified
Text: John 1:32-34
32 And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him. 33 I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ 34 And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”
In the courtroom often evidence is needed to prove one is either guilty or not. It is therefore of the essence to have evidence at all times. John though is the voice that paves the way in the wilderness for the Messiah, yet he does not know Him. His evidence is, ‘Upon whom he sees the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ God is a true God therefore the eyes of John the Baptist have been opened to see the dove descend upon the Lord Jesus Christ.
May the Lord grant you the eyes to see His testimony manifest in your life and may you be given the mouth to testify of the goodness of the Lord. Just as John the Baptist has seen and testified that Christ is the Son of God, so you shall see and testify about your expectations in the Lord this year and beyond in the Name of Jesus Christ.
PRAYER: Dear Lord Your promises are Ye and Amen! I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ, may my expectations and every Word of Yours concerning my life manifest accordingly by the efficacy of the Blood of the Lamb of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. AMEN!
