DEVOTION ~ A STONE

Text: John 1:42

42 And he brought him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is translated, A Stone).


No one encounters Jesus and remains the same. Peter encountered Him and had a change of name. Cephas is translated as a Stone. Stones are building blocks. And so the church was built through Peter on the Day of Pentecost. If we wholeheartedly present ourselves to God, He will use us to build our families, church, communities and every sphere of our lives. 


PRAYER: Lord God, make me a stone to Your glory. Give me a change of identity and may Your will be accomplished in my life in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Apollos means "one who destroys or a destroyer". He was a New Testament figure who steadily grew to become a servant of Jesus through ministry. Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
