DEVOTION ~ GOD KNOWS YOU

Theme: God Knows You
Text: John 1:47&48

47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!” 48 Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

Nathaniel did ask Philip can anything good come out of Nazareth. He had facts about the territories around them and is confident when he speaks to the fact. However, this record had a twist. In meeting the Messiah, his real self has been revealed to him; “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!” It simply means Nathaniel is not easily swayed as he was diligent in keeping his integrity. God knows every one of us and His description of us can't be mistaken. Before we meet Him, He knows all about us. There's no pretence in the presence of God therefore we must approach Him with all sincerity.

PRAYER: Teach me Lord to come to You in all faithfulness and sincerity. Make known my ways to me that I may be diligent to do Your will in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
