Theme: Just Believe

Text: John 14:1-3

14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 



Following Jesus requires we put our trust in Him and believe He is able to do all things for us. In the text of consideration, Jesus encourages His disciples "Let not your heart be troubled". Many of us have allowed the troubles of life to weaken our faith and our trust in God. We are admonished to believe in God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Christ did not come to condemn the world but through Him, the world would be saved. It is on the premise of this He is assuring the disciples of preparing a place for them in His Father's House.


The second return of Christ would be to judge the world. It is only those whom the grace of God locates that will enter this prepared mansion. If you are not received (offered the salvation of Christ) you cannot partake of this opportunity for where Christ is there He will allow the saved to be. Dear beloved in the Lord, just believe in Christ and you shall access all His benefits.


PRAYER: O, Lord! Help our unbelieving hearts and guide us to trust every Word of Yours concerning our lives. We pray in the Name of Jesus that we shall dwell where Christ is and enjoy His presence at all times. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
