DEVOTION ~ THE SPIRITUAL SERVICE III
Theme: The Spiritual Service III
Text: Numbers 4:16
16 “The appointed duty of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest is the oil for the light, the sweet incense, the daily grain offering, the anointing oil, the oversight of all the tabernacle, of all that is in it, with the sanctuary and its furnishings.”
Service in the Kingdom to advance the Gospel is not a one-man show. It requires collaboration and division of labour. The Levites have been grouped according to households so they can diligently perform their given tasks. In our dispensation, the Holy Spirit has given each one of us talents and gifts to support in the service. Identifying what your role is in the service is key to keeping you busy and providing related services for other Vineyard workers to ensure great performance.
Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest has been assigned to the oil for the light, the sweet incense, the daily grain offering, the anointing oil, the oversight of all the tabernacle, of all that is in it with the sanctuary and its furnishings. Dear beloved in the Lord, we need to pray to the Lord to raise up Christians that will be in the Vineyard to ensure checks and balances in the service or fellowship. These individuals are to ensure what is required to make our fellowships successful is put in place right from the Eucharist, ushering congregants to offer, altar calls, lightening, availability of pews or chairs for sitting, and maintenance works, amongst others. We ought to understand that these individuals are as important as the preacher, the choir or the ministering team, pastors, presbyters, elders, deacons, and catechists amongst others. Let us encourage them and not make them feel their service is not relevant nor does it add value to the service. The next time you go for fellowship, be sure to appreciate the one who sweeps the chapel, the ushers, the security men, and those you hardly notice their services in the church.
PRAYER: Raise up Lord men and women who are not ashamed to serve in Your Sanctuary. Who will not feel belittled nor looked down upon because they have not been recognized by the church. Grant the church the discerning grace to not forget such ones but encourage them to Your glory in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
Very powerful 👏 🙌 🙏
