Theme: Touched and Made Perfectly Well

Text: Matthew 14:34-36

34 When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret. 35 And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent out into all that surrounding region, brought to Him all who were sick, 36 and begged Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched it were made perfectly well. 



It is so amazing to be with Jesus for nothing comes to Him and knows decay. Christ is indeed the light and life to all men. The people of Gennesaret had heard a lot about Jesus and the inhabitants were privileged to have Jesus for they recognized Him to be the miracle worker and then brought sick relations to receive healing by touching Him. When we recognize who Jesus is in our lives, we will open up to Him, and He will make everything perfect in our lives. Which area of your life have you shunned from the Lord? It could be marriage, health, education, nurturing of children, business, career, projects, and others. Simply because you feel you can take care of those areas yourself or fear it might not move as smoothly as expected if it is done the Lord's way. Dear beloved in the Lord, it is time to bring them to touch Jesus so that they can be made perfectly well. Jesus is the answer to all our challenges and He alone can give us the desires of our hearts in an atmosphere of peace. 


PRAYER: Dear God, I stretch forth my hands to You and yearn to touch You. Help me Lord and touch every area of my life and perfect Your glory in my life. May I never be seen the same way I was before I experienced Your touch. Make me a new person transformed in heart, mind, speech, and in deeds. This I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

DEVOTION ~ JUDGING RIGHTEOUSLY

Theme: Judging Righteously Text: Genesis 38:26 26 So Judah acknowledged them and said, “She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again. Previous devotion taught us that Tamar sent the pledge Judah gave her to him to identify the owner. Upon receiving the items Judah acknowledged his wrong. Judah did not allow pride or ego to cloud his judgment but rather pointed to the role he played in leading Tamar to take such a drastic step to get pregnant. Dear beloved in the Lord, don't be quick to point people's wrong without considering yours. Let us learn from Judah to never push blame to others if we are guilty. Let us Pray: Almighty God, forgive me for employing the full rigour of the law on defaulters but failing to in my own case. Grant me sound judgment to act righteously. This I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!

Do you feel you're forgotten, rejected or insecure? Dear beloved in the Lord, you're not forgotten, for God has engraved your name in His palms. Isaiah 49:16 See, "I have engraved you on the Palms of My Hands: Your walls are ever before Me". If God has engraved your name in His palms, it means He always sees or watches over you. Rise up and shake the fear and doubts off.  Declare, "I am not forgotten or alone. The LORD has engraved me in His Palms. Therefore, His eyes are fixed on me, and He protects me from the wicked. I decree all that I have is secured in the Name of Jesus Christ. AMEN!
