CHARACTER STUDY ~ LOIS
The name Lois means most desirable or better. She was the mother of Eunice and the grandmother of Timothy. She was described by the Apostle Paul as a woman with sincere faith. Much has not been said of her but below are some lessons to learn from her:
√ She has faith in God. She was a Jew who was not ashamed of her faith in God. The apostle Paul identified her sincere faith because she was open about her faith.
√ She has the divine gift of nurturing. She passed her faith to her daughter and grandson. We need to pray for grace to nurture our children well.
√ She lived and fulfilled the meaning of her name "Most desirable". Every Christian desires to nurture their children in the faith as she did.
